The Custard Factory is a fun and vibrant shopping destination that's home to some of the more unique and eclectic shops and galleries in Birmingham. The location gets its name from the custard factory that used to be housed here, but that factory is long gone and the area has transformed into a trendy retail haven.

The whole family can find fun here, as the shops and cafes have enough to offer to keep a variety of visitors happy. Many people spend 2 or 3 hours here, but it can easily turn into an all-day affair if you're looking to check out everything the area has to offer.

Good to know when visiting Custard Factory

The Custard Factory area has no set hours, so you'll have to take a look at each business you want to visit to know when they're open. Additionally, there aren't any carparks on site. The closest is at Heath Mill Lane, so your best bet might be public transportation.

When you're at the Custard Factory, you'll find yourself close to a few other popular Birmingham attractions. The Bullring offers additional shopping opportunities, or you can visit The Old Crown pub, which dates back to the 14th century. Additionally, the O2 Institute is just a short walk away.
