Coventry

Coventry is a sprawling city in the UK’s West Midlands, and at its centre sits the spectacular Coventry Cathedral. The main structure is a bold post-war design, and the pre-war skeletal Gothic wall and spire form an elegant courtyard. The remains of an 11th-century monastery can also be explored within the gardens.

Those with a penchant for vintage will delight in the displays at the Coventry Transport Museum, or the Fargo Village quirky market to the east. Don’t miss the West Midlands Police Museum, which illustrates some of the city’s more gruesome goings-on.
