The hotelrooms are really old. We had so many issues with our room so they got a new one. First night the AC was so cold and could not change the temperature (talking about a temperature around 15 c). Next day the toilet was flooded with water coming from the ceiling. Third day at the new room the AC was not working at all. Food was generally good, breakfast one of the best I ever had. The French restaurant and the lobster house were both excellent. Avoid Flavour market (Spanish), worst paella and undercooked potata bravas and squid. Overall the total impression was not good.

Cannot say enough about this resort. It is over the top CLEAN and everyone from the grounds keeper to the managers are super friendly. It was our anniversary so they even went above to make our stay super special. The pools were super clean. The beach was nice and they had so much seating in the beach area.

We had a wonderful time at this resort. Staff was great and accommodated our needs well. We did have an issue with a leak in the ceiling but we were able to move rooms with no problems. They were very nice about the issue we had. My ONLY complaint would be resteraunt wait times were kinda long on days where only a few resteraunts were open. Not a huge deal just have to plan accordingly. All pools were cleaned daily by staff members.

We had the most amazing anniversary trip to ERC! We cannot recommend this resort enough. From the beautiful beach to the pools and lazy river to the numerous dining options with incredible variety! But one of the best things about this resort was the staff! Very one was incredibly friendly and treated us like family. You can never be bored at this resort with all the activities going on during the day. We recommend the bike tour with the entertainment staff, tennis and/or pickleball with the amazing tennis pro, Alex, or any of the pool/beach activities! We loved playing volleyball and cards with guests and staff, thanks to Erick for all the fun! We will be back. We so enjoyed meeting everyone at the resort and entertainment every night. You cannot go wrong with a trip spent here.

I brought my husband to this resort for his 50th Birthday. We both enjoyed this resort, the cleaniness, staff, food and shows. We met a lot of people and the staff member Alba was awesome she was very attentive she knew our drinks orders and food options. I do feel they need a litte more entertainment during the pool hours and play more music during the pools hours. We did enjoy this property and would go back again.

My husband and I recently stayed at Excellent Riviera Cancun celebrating our anniversary. From start to finish, our time at your hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel itself was immaculate, with beautifully maintained grounds that took our breath away. However, what truly made our stay memorable was your amazing staff. They were not only incredibly polite and attentive but also seemed genuinely happy to be there. It's rare to see a team so dedicated and joyful in their work, and it made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and provided a comfortable retreat each day. The dining experience was also outstanding. With so many different restaurants to choose from, we felt like royalty every evening, savoring exquisite food that was consistently delicious. There wasn’t a single restaurant that didn’t impress us—each one was excellent in its own right. The nightly entertainment added another layer of enjoyment to our stay, offering great performances that we looked forward to each evening. Thank you once again to all the hardworking staff for making our stay so wonderful. We look forward to returning in the future!

All the staff were very nice, welcoming, and always around to help. There was constantly someone nearby to ask for a drink. The restaurant variety was great and most of the food we had was very good, it was also nice that only one restaurant required a reservation. The room was very clean, and large with a separate seating area. The turndown service (excellence club room) was a nice touch. The daily chocolates left in the room were good but also a little concerning if you have any allergies because you don’t know what is in them each day. The last several days we were there, they were cleaning up the seaweed on the beach and we saw that they had been piling it up behind a sandy hill on the edge of the property and it was starting to smell pretty bad… The only other negative thing to say is that the SPA is REALLY expensive compared to other resorts we have been to… The service was great but seemed overpriced for what you get. Overall it was a nice relaxing stay that truly made us feel special with the added touches that came with the excellence club upgrade.

This was our second visit to Excellence Riviera Maya. Our first trip was one of the best so I was not sure if the second would live up to that. It did and more. The service was just as good if not better, they had more restaurants available at night and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. They had plenty of activities throughout the day but were not pushy when we wanted to chill. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and hope it’s not too long for us to return.

Staff/customer service is out of this world. They go above and beyond to make sure guests are taken care of and seem genuinely happy with their job. Every single staff member is a very hard worker and it shows. The food options were amazing. The room was great. I don’t write reviews often, but highly recommend this resort.
