I was very disappointed in Azul Beach Resort. When we arrived and after checking in, we were told only one restaurant would be open. We just assumed it was because of Hurricane Helen. But that wasn't the case. Out of eight restaurants, only one was opened at any given time, not including the one opened just to serve water-down or drinks with very little alcohol. With eight restaurants on site, one has to be open at any given time. Well, that wasn't the case. We called room service, and it was a nightmare and understanding due to everyone calling. The food arrived cold, and I had to call back and wait another 45 minutes, but now it was warm.
One of the selling points was the jacuzzi tube, but it didn't work, so the jacuzzi tube was not used. However, I did enjoy the suit with the walkout pool. The most disappointing thing and a slap in the face were the things and events they promised as a selling point to have you select them for your vacation spot, like clubs, dancing, music, and shows that didn't exist. However, they were selling and advertising their sister resorts, Margaretville and others right next door. So, in short, there is no entertainment, just a buffet restaurant, water-down drinks, and a swim-up bar that's closed 60 percent of the time, not to mention being nickeled and dime is Azul Beach Resort's version of all-inclusive. My advice is to look somewhere else in the Hotel Zone!
