We entered the hotel and were greeted by the amazing scent of gingerbread. The hotel’s culinary department was building its 12x12 gingerbread house, complete with rice crispie foundation, gingerbread “bricks”, snow-covered roof, and icicles. Checkin was smooth, our room was comfortable (apart from the pillows — both too soft and too firm), and the bar was welcoming whether we stopped in for afternoon tea or late-night nightcaps.
