I recently stayed at the Radisson Hotel El Paso Airport and, unfortunately, had a poor experience from beginning to end, with the exception of the shuttle drivers.
I arrived at the hotel at 9 AM for my sister's funeral the following day. When I inquired about an early check-in at the front desk, I was informed that it would cost $50. I declined and waited in the lobby until 3 PM. Despite seeing me sitting in the lobby all day, the staff didn’t offer to check me in before a long line of people arrived.
I booked the hotel through Hotels.com and was given an old room with a double queen bed. The bathroom floor had hair on it, and there was mold in the standup shower. The furniture was damaged and scratched, and one of the couch chairs had a broken leg that bent inward. The view from the window was of a construction site. The hotel is painted in multiple colors, with part of it in the original colors and part in a gray that everyone seems to be using nowadays. The paint looks terrible, and you can see the different colors from the lobby. While some parts of the hotel were still nice, the horrible color variations made it look like a low-end hotel. I was so disappointed because I thought this was an upscale hotel.
Lastly, and this was probably the worst thing, at 11:50 AM, 10 minutes before check-out, a security person knocked on my door and said it was time to check out. I said we were checking out at noon. Within five minutes, the phone rang, and it was the front desk advisin
