Booked in the website for the same night and called the owner to confirm that it was ok. He told me that I had made a mistake and that the it was booked for the next day night, not same day. He was right so I asked him if he could change it for the same day but he said he had no available rooms (??) so I told him that I would try to modify it and solve it with the website.
I called hotels.com and they told me that the booking I had done was non-remboursable (it was the only option for that hôtel) and that they could give me back the money only if the owner agreed to it. They called him and he said that he would apply the policy, if we cancelled no reimbursement so he would keep the money.
Finally we didn't cancel (it was around 100 eur) and we went to the hotel the next day.
There was NOBODY there to do the check-in. Then a girl who hires one of the nearby appartements appeared and told us that the owners where not there and that nobody was expected so for her we had no room. She called the owner and they told her that we had cancelled the booking (not true). Finally the girl told us that there was a room ready and the hour for breakfast. The lady that served the breakfast was friendly and educated.
Very rude unprofessional attitude from the owner.
Fine, comfortable spacious room in a calm, nice environment, cozy garden with lots of animals around (cats, dogs, donkeys) good for a relaxing time away from noise and tourist.
