Some rooms have mold and is very noisy at the mornings and nights. They let children play at pool way beyond 9:00 PM.

Ok
It looked great but I was disappointed because my brother and his wife went there for their honey moon and I asked to prepare the room for the occasion and that didn't happen. I even called the hotel personally and they told me they would try do something to the room but didint happen either.

Wonderful place
The hotel is full of Mexican folk art making it much more than a simple place to stay. The small garden in the interior courtyard is lush and green, with many of the local indigenous orchids. The food in the restaurant was great; I recommend the pescado veracruzano and the chicken mole. Service was a little slow at times, but no more so than any restaurant I visited in Chiapas.

Wonderful stay, a quiet oasis in the city
We were in Tapachula for a wedding and spent a wonderful week here. Quiet, comfortable rooms and the pool area is lovely and comfortable for siesta. The owner and his staff were knowledgeable, helpful, conversant in English, even loaned us tour books and guides. It's about a 4-5 block walk to the square or the cathedral, we felt comfortable doing that. The restaurant is excellent and breakfast is included. We loved the decor, every time we walked by we noticed something different. Rooms and hotel were very clean and comfortable. Our single room "Ofelia" downstairs, just off the restaurant had a large bathroom and plenty of space. A little street noise through the bathroom window but was no problem when the bathroom door was closed. Air conditioner worked very well and the room was very comfortable during the heat of the day. Some friends were in "Frida Kahlo" upstairs, bathroom was a bit smaller but it was more quiet. Great value, we will stay here again when we visit family in Tapachula.

Not a family hotel, just a regular place to sleep
Nothing to eat on Sunday after lunch, no parking space, staff rude and hidden charges, I will never go back to this hotel

Gorgeous gem of a property.
Gorgeous gem of a property. Small, boutique colonial place with lush garden courtyard, pool, and -- perhaps the best part -- each of the 10 rooms is dedicated/decorated to honor a famous Mexican woman (Freida Kahlo, Josefa, Maria Bonita, etc.). Owner speaks great English, drops by breakfast (included and hearty) to chat, etc. Restaurant has good food, variety, and bar has tequilas, Spanish wines, etc. Located about two blocks from the town square, so very easy to reach. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful boutique hotel with excellent food
We stopped in this funny little town on our drive to Guatemala. Finding this hotel was truly like finding a diamond in the rough. The staff the food the room this place is really just super cool. Outside the hotel not so nice it's just a standard southern Mexican town but this hotel is something special. If for whatever reason you're going through Tapachula and you need to stay the night somewhere I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel close to central park
The hotel is beautiful, full with antiques. It is small and that's an advantage because it is quiet. The restaurant's food is delicious, especially the melted cheese. If you need a parking space, it can be provided with no trouble.
