Wonderful Stay Close to Wolf Creek Ski Resort
We had a delightful stay at Elktrace Lodge for two nights. Our cozy cottage was perfect for my husband and me plus our two dogs, plus the location was great for skiing at Wolf Creek. Tom and Evelyn, the hosts, went above and beyond to make our stay special. They are warm and inviting, and their attention to detail made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious Christmas meal they hosted for all the guests. Sharing a festive evening with them and the other guests was a heartwarming experience that added a unique and memorable touch to our holiday. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Reserved the Cabin, once there was not ready as the people prior to us had been there with dogs and pigs. Had been in contact the say before and day of arrival and nothing was said about the cabin not being available. We were moved to the annex and allowed a ROOM. The Wifi nor the TV worked the entire stay. The dishwasher was not working so no cooking, as I was not hand washing dishes while on vacation. The whole place needed a deep cleaning. Alot of dust as it is on a dirt road. The bed was comfotable,and the scenery was beautiful. The breakfast considered of scrambled eggs and store bought tortillas every morning,from the reviews expected more. Carolynand Andy were very nice. Evelyn, I felt was not very considerate to the fact of 1, not getting the cabin I had reserved for my husband and I. 2, no Wifi, 3, no television our entire stay. When I informed Evelyn that we had alrwady been billed in full by the time we got there, she said good! I think over $600 for a three night stay was way too much fir what ee

I struggled on whether to give this property a 3 or a 5 and settled on a 4. The location, building and owners were amazing. All the staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the breakfast they provided. I was ready to give them a 5, but things changed. The main issue were the noise, in particular the dogs. The owners have 2 housedogs. One of them was fine, the other barked every time someone checked in-including a late check in Friday night. The late check in people (In the cabin next to our room) were up at 6 am Sat doing construction, building pens for the multitude of animals they had with them. Another group had several dogs that were running around barking loudly while their owner chased them yelling right by our room. (We had one window that wouldn't close). The same lady then came into the main house kitchen, which is very close to the rooms. She was talking and laughing. I finally went into the kitchen around 7 to try and get coffee and her dog growled and lunged towards me. She told me not to worry. We had a great breakfast and a wonderful day. The next morning, Sunday at 5:41 am the dogs were barking again next door and the people in the cabin were working outside. My husband was so upset he yelled out the window and it seemed to quiet down. At this point we were very tired and pretty irritated. We really enjoyed the owners and the location, but we will not go back. I understand this is a ranch, but we came on vacation for some peace and relaxation.

The snow was a little hectic for the drive to Elk trace but it was defiantly worth it. The main house is huge and magical with it snowing. The room me and my love stayed at was private, had Wi-Fi, and was pretty huge for two people especially for the price. The owner was very nice and super sweet, she would wake up early making homemade breakfast every morning. 10/10 I would stay here again. I bet it's just as breath taking in the summer. It's about a 10 minute drive from Elk trace to town or to the Springs Resort.

This place is fabulous!!!
Our stay at Elktrace BnB was excellent. The lodge is truly beautiful, but also very comfortable. The breakfast is a delicious feast with enormous variety. This was our Christmas gift to each other and our first trip to Colorado! Evelyn, our host was amazing, she made us and all the guest feel like family, I can not express the wonderful and welcoming hospitality, we are already looking forward to our next visit. They were extremely accommodating. Gave us a free upgrade to the cottage which was very cozy and comfortable. The property was very dog friendly, clean, breakfast was great, and the people were so friendly. Our stay was amazing and we absolutely plan on coming back.

2/10 (不満)

The staff was horrendously rude to me and very discriminatory toward a disabled person. The road to their property was closed and when I called to ask for directions, the person who answered told me she had no "patience for the relay call" yelled at the operator and then hung up on me. I have a hearing disability so needed to call through the relay service. I tried for 2 hours calling again and again. And no one would answer the phone. I was only 10 minutes away from the hotel yet I could not find my way there. I had driven a very long way, more than 3 hours and due to the long weekend there were no other hotels available. I was forced to turn around and drive all the way back home.
