BE AWARE of their ‘HOTEL STYLE ROOM’
Called property after hours (Sunday late morning) to enquire about any availability for 5 nights after being informed from our original booking, at another resort, that they would be under renovations during our booked dates.
Were told by management that they couldn’t confirm availability until Monday, when they were back in the office.
Found a room on Expedia that was advertised as ‘Hotel style room’ Studio.
BE AWARE…this is a tiny box with a small opening window and glass blocks as it’s other.
The Colonial management would not offer us any other room (even for our last couple of nights).
We were informed after booking, that this room was usually sold for only 1-2 nights.
No where to dry clothing and resort informed us that we would be charged if we wanted any more clean towels!… and $75 on departure if we didn’t leave the room as we found it (no dirty dishes in sink or rubbish).
We asked if there were any other rooms available for even 1 or 2 nights of our 5, as this was a special holiday for my husband and I.
We’re informed that they were totally booked (This was untrue, as another guest confirmed vacancy around their units & we could see ourselves, that our adjoining room was empty).
This resort has the best pool, and in a fabulous location….shame about Management’s poor attitude and money hungry policy (Would have happily paid the difference in price to have a relaxing holiday and memorable experience).
