I have stayed here once before and that is why I booked it again. The hotel is clean and in a very nice location. The staff is very nice as well. The biggest issue I had was that they were painting the floor of their wraparound porch all weekend on a prime weekend! My room is very small and does not have a porch or a patio, so I would have loved to have had my coffee sitting on the porch this morning. It rained last night, so all of their outdoor chairs were soaking wet. They continued to paint the porch this morning when it was a beautiful morning with an inn full of guests. Whoever chose to paint the floor of one of the biggest assets of the inn, the porch, made a very bad choice. It really was a shame. Keep in mind, the inn sits on the marina and Friday night a lot of boaters had a big party on the dock with the fire pit, which made it fairly loud for quite a while. There are also no irons allowed in the rooms to iron your clothes. You have to iron in the front foyer or the dining room and the staff has to provide the iron and board for you. It was a bit awkward to be ironing my clothes in front of the other guests. They told me that the steam from the iron can set off the smoke alarms. I was really looking forward to my second stay here, but it just wasn’t everything I was hoping for. Hopefully, this review may help the inn going forward, as it really is a very lovely place in a great location.
