Worse hotel experience ever! I made the reservation on Hotels.com and indicated we have a dog and selected the second story room with a private balcony. Later I called the hotel directly to make sure they received my reservation and to confirm the details. Their information did not indicate a pet, so I was informed that with a pet I had to be on the first floor. I asked if the room had its own door leading out to the beach. They said yes, so I thought it would be okay since we had our own door which would provide some privacy. When we arrived we were informed that our room was on the second floor, on the corner, sharing the balcony with everyone else walking to and from their rooms. And we were still paying the high price we originally paid signing up for a private balcony. Now we had to keep our curtains closed as there was constant foot traffic in front of our room. Couldn't even enjoy the lake view. It got worse. A lot. I told "Becca" I wanted a half price reduction. She kept on explaining about the problem with reserving the room online through Hotels.com. That explanation doesn't fly because I also called the hotel direct. She didn't want to hear it. She told me I had one hour to vacate the room since I "threatened" her. My "threat" was limited to what I would write online. The experience got worse, but I don't have enough room to elaborate. It was bad.
