Let’s start this saga from the beginning. The entrance had a very profound smell. On asking at the check-in counter, I was told that the cleaning crew used heavy cleaners to clean the carpet/floors and then they used heavy room fresheners to remove the chemical smell but it got all mixed up and gave a very unique pungent smell.
Next was the check-in: The check-in was painless. I booked a deluxe executive room and was assigned room #222 and that’s where it all falls apart. We didn’t spend anytime in the room,m as it was 4th of July and went to memorial park to see the fireworks. When we returned at about 10:00 pm to spend the night, we noticed that linens has blood stain, it was dirty and had holes all over the place. We called the front desk and the person was very helpful. He immediately arrived and agreed that the room was inhabitable and very soon after talking to management assigned room # 220 which by the way was not deluxe executive for which I originally paid. Anyways, let’s keep going. While the hotel staff was with us, we moved our bags and came to room #220 but it had similar issues. There were hairs on the linens which obviously shows that it was not washed. I showed the staff member and denied to accept the room. It was almost 10:45 pm by now. The staff member went to his office to check if there was another room available. After about 15 minutes when he didn’t show up, I went down to check and was told to take room 320.
