This Hotel is a Catfish
Let me start off by saying the lady at the front desk was nice. The cat that greeted me was very sweet as well. The first room i got was not only the wrong type of room but also had a caved in ceiling. When i got to my actual room the fridge was broken and had mold in it the temperature control units didnt work the dresser had some white powder in the back of it, the stairs going up were old rickety and not well taken care of, the balcolny seemed sketchy as well. The door deadbolt wouldnt latch because its off center, the beds were like sleeping on a box spring, The carpets were really disgusting and so was the furniture, the toilet was leaking as well. The TVs worked though. Honestly I'm not sure how this hotel has an 8.4 rating but it really shouldn't. I read a comment from the hotel that said it was under new management so i hope management actually addresses these issues in every room because it could definitely be the hotel they try to seem to be online.

Arrived after dark with no lite signs, didn’t know where to go. Greeted by a large barking dog. Extremely dated bath, electrical, walls needed painting. If I hadn’t prepaid I would have left.

Bird Hunt Hotel
We stayed for purposes a pheasant and grouse hunt. There were other hunters in other rooms. The hotel provided a bird cleaning facility and welcomed dogs. It was close to several places to eat. Other guests were fisherman. All seemed content.

A nice place to stay ..once.
We always love staying here while in South Dakota but since our last visit 2 to 3 years ago, the motel has become shoddy. Curtains for hanging off rods, rooms need a good cleaning, even finding hair on floor from previous persons. There were spider webs and spiders and many many mosquitoes in the room. Probably due to a gap in the bottom of the door. Could not fit anything in the freezer as it was frosted over. The hotel is under New Management so hopefully these things can get taken care of in time. We would love to come back to a place we once knew as a nice place to stay.

Everything Needs Updated/Fixed Up
Makes me question what makes for a 8+ hotel on this platform anymore since this motel is for all intents and purposes a well organized but run down property at a great location. Everything is old and unmaintained, even if still clean. Paint is bubbling or peeling, stairs are weak, lounge chairs sag, floors and tubs are stained, no breakfast- not to mention several buildings to navigate and poor signage with little to no lightning helping guide the way. Not dirty or unsafe, but certainly not a 8+/10, much more a solid 4-5.
