Our stay at Riviera started off on the wrong foot as the airport shuttle took over an hour to arrive (we were also surprised to learn after getting dropped off that it was €20 when that price had never been mentioned to us). When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, so we stood in the lobby for 20 minutes ringing the bell and calling the hotel phone (no answer). When the front desk person finally arrived, he neglected to tell us that breakfast ended at 9 am, so the next morning when we arrived in the lobby at 9:05, we were sent away (even though the food was still out, we weren’t allowed to take any for some reason, and the staff handling the food clean up was very rude about it). Our room A/C did not work for the entirety of our stay, so our room was incredibly uncomfortable the whole time, made worse by the noise level of the surrounding neighborhood that kept us up all night. When we went to check out, the front desk person (different than the person who checked us in) was very rude with us and the airport shuttle was again delayed. In total, quite possibly the worst hotel experience we have ever had, and I would give it 0 stars if I could. I would gladly have paid double the amount to stay literally anywhere else, and would recommend others do the same.
