We would have given a 5 for the service as everyone except one member of staff were consistently exceptional. Someone even placed balloons and little gifts for our daughters whose birthday surprise this holiday was for! However, we had several encounters with one lady who was behind the bar serving in the evening on Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd. She was consistently rude and dismissive to everyone in our party. We couldn’t put our finger on what it was about us that bothered her so much as we were always polite in our interactions with her but she was quite unpleasant on each and every occasion we had to communicate with her. Other than that one particular young woman though, every other staff member went above and beyond with their service and attitude. It’s such a shame that we came into contact with her as otherwise, our stay would have been perfect. I’m sorry we didn’t catch her name in order for you to properly address this.

Disappointed
I have to say we were disappointed. At first we were impressed with the lobby & reception area which looked modern, clean & a friendly welcome. But then it started to go downhill. Firstly we got bitten loads by some insect as soon as we entered the pool area. Then we had lunch at the restaurant where the lady serving us was coughing constantly while serving our food and drink. Although she was wearing a mask, personally we felt that if you're serving food and have a cough that bad, perhaps you shouldn't be working until you feel better. We then went to our room. Looked clean and pleasant enough at first sight but then after trying to sleep in there we discovered the air conditioning wasn't strong enough to cool the room down to a comfortable level. Then an awful smell started to come from the bathroom (it wasn't us) and finally we woke up with more insect bites. I complained to the reception staff who were very apologetic and put us in another room and gave us 4 free drinks to apologise for the inconvenience. The new room didn't smell & the air conditioning was stronger but we still were bitten again by something. Therefore overall not a great stay at all and left disappointed for a stay at a Novotel hotel.

This property is located close to the airport so ideal for an overnight stay before a flight. On the pros side: the breakfast is amazing and very well done, the common areas and lounge areas by the lobby are perfect for relaxing. Cons: the actual room needs an upgrade especially the bathroom. Ideal for short stays.

This hotel had a very unique atmosphere that just didn’t vibe with my family. It’s very quirky and fun. The pool is very deep with no life guard and wasn’t checked for chemicals often. The dinner menu was limited. The rib eye was delicious but had a lot of gristle. The room was clean, but the overall hotel felt dingy and dirty. Hotel corridor lights were off in the evening and not motion sensor so didn’t turn on even when you walked through. Onsite parking was a major plus. Staff was great.

Arrived wondering where reception was as no clear desk just people hovering with a laptop, thought we were in wrong place as no Novotel signs inside just restaurant name. Got there at 3.15pm even though Expedia advised could check in from 2pm only to be rudely told NO check in from 4pm and ordered us to sit down. Another staff came over 10 mins later however and checked us in no problems. Room was ok but sofa bed was too small for 2 and would suggest only accommodate small children, it was also old and lumpy. No spare pillows were provided and the ones we had were very flat. Air con was just about sufficient during the afternoon but when we went to bed seemed to stop. Was on full all night but it didn’t produce any cold air at all and we were hot and room stuffy so very little sleep was had by all, not what you need before an early flight and all day travelling. Room was clean and bathroom modern, however translucent door that doesn’t shut properly not ideal. The restaurant is very limited to speciality food and you can’t get anything ‘normal’ or simple. Location convenient for airport and pool a bonus but not enough reason to stay here again.
