I checked in for a 2 night stay, when I went to use the bathroom I could easily see that someone had done a number 2 before I checked in and the toilet had not been cleaned. At ALL. The floor was also dirty, hair was all over it and the back of the toilet. Underneath the sink I could see what looked like a patch of blood. I went straight to the front desk and asked for someone to come and clean the bathroom right away. Which they did. I had to leave for the evening, when I returned that night and pulled back the covers to get into bed, I could tell the sheets hadn’t been cleaned either. There was a spot of blood on one of the pillowcases, and hair all over the sheets too. Went straight to the desk, asked for clean sheets, which I was given, but told they were out of comforters. Thankfully I had a blanket and my own pillow in my car, and a clean pillowcase in my luggage. The lady at the desk was nice, she profusely apologized, said they had had other complaints and were blaming new cleaning staff. Apparently the staff weren’t cleaning at all, that’s my assessment. I was told she was giving all the information to the manager and they would do their best to give me a discount or a refund. When I checked out, I was not given either. Still have the full charge for the room on my credit card. I will never stay here again. I would have asked for a different room or checked into another hotel, but Rapid City was busy. I’m so disgusted by the state of that room and no refund.
