Days Inn was good overall except for breakfast

Hotel location was fantastic. Close to Hershey Park within minutes, farmers market, grocery and other stores nearby. However, room and bathroom probably should be upgraded but the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was good but was missing hot foods like eggs and sausage. Couple of times, I became sick after breakfast so not sure if was b/c of too many people crowded at breakfast and dirty serving spoons.

Would love to stay again

When I got to my room, it wasn’t cleaned but the front desk quickly resolved the issue and got me a new room so I am happy with my stay. The pool was nice and clean and we enjoyed the hotel.

We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is well kept. The pool with hot tub is very nice. The staff were all friendly. The location is within walking distance of several great restaurants and the Hershey Story museum. I don't think we had to drive more than 15 minutes to anything that we wanted to see. We had a problem with our hot water one morning. I called the front desk and the issue was resolved within 15-20 minutes, which was absolutely acceptable. The only downside (and it's very minor) is that the free breakfast includes one and only one protein, hard boiled eggs. Everything else is carbs. Waffles, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, etc. Fortunately, Duck Donuts is right across the street, serving up hot breakfast sandwiches and good iced lattes. A special shoutout to a couple of housekeepers that went above and beyond when tidying up our room. I wish I had gotten their names. We ran into them one morning, showed them a problem with our door lock (which turned out to be my own fault, not the lock), and when we came back they had put an extra special touch on our room which I will include in the pictures. We would absolutely stay here again if/when we come back to Hershey.

The room was ok, the floors where not as clean as I like, my white socks were black after walking around in the room. When I booked the room it said it was big enough for 5 but it really was not. So would keep it to only 4 since there is not even a couch to use as a bed. The breakfast was great, the staff that was taking care of the breakfast were fantastic, they were really on top of every need and super friendly. Love the covered parking. The hallways and elevator could have been cleaner. Needed vacuuming.

You get what you pay for

The pictures of the hotel online can be equated to putting lipstick on a pig. The front lobby is probably the nicest thing about the hotel. The pool is small, cloudy, and does not appear very clean or well kept. The first issue was that the door wouldn’t open, despite having a key card. Throughout the duration of our stay, it was quite a challenge to open the door, from either the inside or outside. The room is small and crowded. Whereas it’s clear that new paint was slapped onto the walls, the bathroom was not updated. There was some sticky substance on the floor from previous occupants, and although it was cleaned, it was just pushed around with a dirty mop. The walls are paper thin, as we could hear the people snoring next door to us, as well as all activities happening in the bathroom above us. Gross! The rooms are above the parking garage, so every time someone’s alarm went off, it woke us all up. This hotel needs a major renovation… not just a coat of paint. Better off paying the extra few bucks if you can afford it to stay elsewhere on the area.

Nice clean room, could have used more substantial blankets and the door was kind of janky. But overall a place I would stay at again. Easy to find close to Hershey park so good location.

Messy

We got into our room and the floor had not been cleaned there was chocolate spots all over it. 10 minutes after being there the bathroom toilet clogged and overflowed on its own and water went every where. Phone did not work to call the lobby for maintenance so I had to go down to the lobby while the people in my party got our stuff out of the room and I went and requested a new room. Thankfully I could get one but I feel I should have been compensated some for the inconvenience.

We left after one night (booked another hotel) due to 3 main reasons: filthy hardwood floors, so many spiders, and the tub did not drain. These were common complaints that I missed in between reading the good reviews. I don’t expect hotel floors to be clean, but my daughter’s feet were as dirty as if she were to go outside barefoot. And these were hard wood - not even carpet. The only way they can be that dirty is if they haven’t been mopped in weeks. Literally about a dozen spiders in webs outside the window after the sun went down. All fine except some of them made their way in! My husband felt some crawling on him during the night. We killed one on the window sill and one in the bathroom. The tub kept backing up and wouldn’t drain. The water had a metallic taste when we brushed out teeth. The pool was super cloudy; not clean. The breakfast was sub-par; mostly pantry type of foods (e.g., cereal, muffins, etc.) with some boiled eggs for protein. Not the best but it was included. The front desk lady who checked us in was super pleasant! However, the older lady that checked us out when we left early gave us a dirty look and said we couldn’t get our money back because we booked four nights through a 3rd party (hotels.com) and it’s not refundable.
