Could Use a Scrubbing

The toilet and bed were clean and thats all we needed but the rest of the room could use a good scrubbing. Base boards were filthy in bathroom. Fruit was old first thing in the AM. Coffee pots were dirty. We chose not to eat. It is older but would have appeared better if it were cleaned properly. There were very few guests.

The first room we were put in smelled of mildew so bad we requested a new room which they provided. The second room didn’t have a shower curtain which the provided after we told them. Thirdly the continental breakfast had a fridge full of expired milk.

Filthy and disgusting

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. There was something all over the bed, the tub was full of hair, the shampoo bottle was filthy, The floor was damp, the lamps were rusty, and the lampshades broken, the security lock was broken off the door, there were holes in the wall, broken tiles on the floor, and the bathtub in the bedroom needed to be taken out, the bathtub was duct taped together. Wyndham needs to rethink marketing this as one of their hotels. I was way overcharged paying $150 a night for this disgusting place.

Don't go to the Amercinn in Burlington IA

When we got to the hotel the parking lot was empty which was a red flag from the get go. We checked in and the person was very friendly but as we were walking to our room the hall was dirty, smelly and in terrible disrepair. Also it looked like every room's door had been kicked because they all had significant damage. When we got to our room (206), the jacuzzi was falling apart, the drywall was cracked all around the window and A/C unit and also had a musty smell similar to the hallway. I went back to the desk and told them we weren't going to stay there. The person happily took my card of file and we went the the hampton attached to the catfish casino. Very friendly staff, very modern, very clean. Don't go to the Americinn hotel in Burlington IA unless its your last stop on the way to hell and you hoping to score some meth and a hooker.

Train Delay

Want to thank Front Desk (Zack) for assisting with reservation for 2nd night. After 2 nights on CA Zephyr jumped off @Burlington. Room rate reasonable, room sufficient & morning breakfast appreciated. Train delays resulted in 2nd night stay enjoying Burlingtons local restsurants.

Hotel went downhill fast

We booked this hotel but didn't stay due to the conditions. Hotel & room filthy. Arriving, observed hallway & room smelled bad. The room apparently had not been cleaned. The beds weren't made and the sheets were stained. The fridge was dirty with food still in it. The TV didn't work. The bathtub also had not been cleaned & when the faucet was turned on, public hair came out of the drain. Brought this complaint to the rep on duty, who offered a different room, which was also dirty.

Staff was friendly but the place needs a deep clea

The room was not clean, dirt in the corners of the tiles in the bathroom, and the sheets and bedspread were not clean. There were dead spiders in the light fixture, and only bath towels…no washcloths or hand towels, no Kleenexes, and some of the outlets didn’t work. The breakfast in the morning was good with a variety of food choices.

Terrible place.

The workers are rude as ever. Especially this one lady at the front. She had little knowledge of anything. I called before to verify the hot tub and pool were working and she said it was and I got there and it wasn’t. Then I had charges on my card and she hung up on me and wouldn’t discuss them. Worst. Place. Ever.

Dirty, ice machine"still broke", dust bunnies NOT under the bed (afraid to look under), peeling paint, loose door handles. And worst of all, we all ended up with bug bites. Not sure what, but mine ended up blistering.

The black lady was wonderful that checked me in. I believe her name was Michelle, but I’m not very good at name, but she was wonderful. I left early before plan to because one of the housekeepers was in my room and I had requested not know housekeeping or anything until I left. He was very rude. It was also a black lady. I don’t plan on staying there anymore. I had stayed there in the past. I’m sorry I cannot remember names. Don’t think I’m racist because I’m not I’m married to a young lady. I just can’t remember the housekeeper’s name But when I asked not to go in my room, I’m a private pastor. My trust was broken with the housekeeper. Supposedly, they said somebody was smoking in and one of the room. The fire department was called.
