Maybe the Worst Hotel We’ve Ever Booked
We walked into our room and immediately noticed a card telling us our room had been “cleaned by Olympia” with a QR code for leaving a tip. Normally, we’d be cool with that. However, it was pretty obvious that Olympia hadn’t actually cleaned the room. The floor was filthy, and when we pulled back the blankets, the sheets were covered in boogers (no joke) and blood stains.
I tried calling down to the front desk for someone to fix the issue, but no one answered the phone… multiple times. I finally went down to the lobby and there was already another customer who had been waiting for quite some time at the front desk. Finally, after quite some time someone finally showed up.
She put us in a different room so we had to pack everything back up and haul our stuff to a different room. That room had obviously actually been cleaned, but was still beyond gross. We killed several cockroaches that were inhabiting every part of the room. The ceiling was peeling away with chunks ready to fall down. The bathroom was very rundown and just didn’t look like it could even be cleaned. The whole room was just gross. Also, the air didn’t seem to work. It barely blew anything at all and the air it did blow out was warm, not cool. It was way too hot to sleep.
I honestly don’t understand all the positive reviews for this place. We got up early and got out of there because it just wasn’t pleasant at all to be there. We’ve definitely put this on our “Do Not Book Again” list.
