Comfy stay
We stayed again at Lamplighter, now Days Inn. The bed was much more comfortable than I remember. Perhaps the difference was that this was a king size, but I slept well. I wosh we could have stayed one more night, but something came up and we left a day ahead of time. My only complaint was breakfast offered very little in hot food.

Worst motel I ever stayed.
This was one of the worst motels I have ever stayed in. I was there for 3 days not once did they clean the room or resupply necessities. The free breakfast was almost non existant and the one time they had real food eggs and sausage they were cold.

Affordable and clean option
For being an older remodel the room was in overall clean condition. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Only complaint was that the shower didnt drain very quickly. Also there isnt a light(or it was burnt out) in the hall under the stairs leading to rooms across from pool.

Older hotel needs work but the owners are postive!
This is a newly purchase hotel, and the owners have alot of work to do. I appreciated the good rate and good nights sleep. I understand the position they are in. May the exceed their work in owning this business!

New owners
Its not what it used to be. I booked a single king and was given 2 full beds instead. I called the office and was told they didnt have any more king rooms available and i was stuck with what i got or i could go else where. we found trash along the beds and it didnt look like the sheets one one bed had been changed in a month.

Dirty, Stinky, Hot, and Run down
I’ll start by saying the service at the front desk was fantastic. The staff was friendly, kind, and efficient. Other than that the stay was horrible. The floors in the room were really dirty. The whole place was covered in dust. Immediately upon intervening the room it smelled like weed and dirt. The smell never went away. It was probably around 85° when we entered the room. We turned the a/c on but it never really cooled off. Everything in the rooms is from 1975. The bedding was raggedy and the towels were tiny and gross. I will absolutely never stay at The Lamplighter again

Terrible cleaning people
The floor was filthy. Stains in the carpet and crumbs around the bed. The entertainment center and walls were all beat up. It’s not the Lamplighter Inn anymore. The new people don’t keep it up very well. They don’t even know what cream cheese to put on your bagel is. Will never stay there again. It was gross. When it was Lamplighter Inn it was nice.

This is an older facility, which was not the issue, if it had been clean and in good repair/condition it would have been fine. However our room had cobwebs on the bed skirts, dirt in the corners, stained carpet, holes in the wall, art work leaning against the wall and not hung, dead bugs in the floor of the Barth room (thankfully no bedbugs found anywhere, we checked very thoroughly), but it did have water bug/wood roach (the giant outdoor roaches you only see around wood pills or damp areas usually). Also there was a crack between the door and the doorframe wide enough you could see daylight through it. The sheets seemed clean but the towels had stains. People at the front desk were polite and the staff seemed friendly. I would never stay here again though, once you have a bug crawl across you in the middle of the night, you’re done with any place. When I’m camping I expect it, when I’m staying in a hotel, I do not.

Looks like it was a great place at on time. Mold on ceiling of shower. Pictures falling off the walls. Lamps in room broken. They typed in the security code off my CC. Refused to give me a receipt when I checked out.

Google is very misleading with the 4 star rating. Room was dirty, musty smelling, bed had a slant, bathroom was dirty and didn’t even have a roller for the toilet paper. The continental breakfast consisted of semi warm biscuits (in a crockpot), semi warm sausage links, cereal, and yogurt. In the hindsight you get what you pay for. So for the $75 a night this is what it is.

The hotel desperately needs updating. The shower had black mold on the ceiling above it. The furnishings were outdated. Carpet was old and appeared stained. The rating I read far "oversold" this hotel as nicer than it was.

Dirty tub. Dirty toilet. Dirty floors. Musty smell. Half-used lotion. Ears, nose, throat itchy every time air conditioning came on. Didn't bother getting in bed because I questioned whether it was clean considering dirty bathroom. Was expecting Hotel experience but was put in Motel scenario in back of hotel. Staff insisted that Expedia chose my room. How absurd!!! Expedia does not own or manage this place. Walkways, stairs, roofing was dirty, ripped, concrete broken up. This "hotel/motel" needs a major overhaul!!! This was my 2nd stay trying to give another chance. I'm done. I will never stay here again although I'm in town several months out of the year!
