I felt compelled to write this to say this was just fine! I read some of the past reviews which made it seem like a "homeless shelter."..room was large, clean, with a small balcony. No smell of smoke--I even packed charcoal filters, a humidifier and air purifier out of concern. Bathroom large and clean with fan. (Pillows were a little small..._) There was a microwave and good-sized fridge in room and we even got a king bed upgrade. Breakfast had more choices than I anticipated: sausage, eggs (both just ok) plus cereal, bagels, juice, yogurt, oatmeal packet, apples. ..there were a couple of kids without parents there which was odd, but hey if they were in a homeless situation they were respectful, safe and getting some food. --Two other things...the description says there is no elevator. ( There is one). The staff was great but we did see a Trump for Jesus water bottle for sale at the front desk which was a REAL turn off, especially in Vermont. I would think Regional staff would NOT allow for selling of political merchandise. This hotel fit our needs and was affordable and close enough to downtown Burlington.
