I had a very frustrating stay at this hotel. When I first checked in, I was given a room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned — it looked like someone had already been staying in it. I called the front desk, and the staff member confirmed it hadn’t been cleaned yet. I then had to wait for him to come up and give me a new key for a different room.
The room I ended up in wasn’t much better — it had a musty smell and didn’t feel very clean overall. I stayed for two nights and checked out on a Sunday. It’s now been three weeks, and I’m still waiting for my deposit to be returned.
I’ve called four times in that period, and each time I was told the deposit had been released and to just wait. It wasn’t until today that I was informed there was a cleaning fee charged due to alleged stains on the sheets — something I was never notified about via phone or email. Every time I previously called, no one mentioned this charge. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told she wouldn’t be available until later in the day.
Overall, the communication and cleanliness were poor, and the lack of transparency around charges is unacceptable. I will be disputing the charge with my bank if it’s not resolved. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
