I recently had a very disappointing check-in experience at what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel. After traveling extensively around the world, this was by far the worst.
We arrived at 4 PM, an hour later than the standard check-in time. The receptionist, Chris, informed us that no rooms were available and that we would need to wait for about two minutes. After 15 minutes, I approached him again, noting that check-in usually starts at 3 PM. To my dismay, he raised his voice and reiterated that there were no rooms available at that moment. His attitude was completely unacceptable and significantly impacted my day and overall impression of the hotel.
While the room was clean, the air conditioning unit was excessively noisy, making for an uncomfortable stay.
