Jekyll Island, just off the Georgia coast, is one of the state’s Golden Isles and is known for beaches, museums, parks and historic sites that will enchant the entire family. Historic attractions here include Horton House, the ruins of a tabby house from the 18th century. Faith Chapel offers stained glass windows in a historic church, while Mosaic, the Jekyll Island Museum, offers lots of information, artefacts and ephemera related to local history with tours available. At the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, kids and adults can see turtle exhibits and demonstrations while learning about conservation and rehabilitation.
