Petchkasem Road is the main highway that runs through Khao Lak along the coast. Along a stretch of this road that forms the centre of Khao Lak, you can shop at a diverse range of local stores. There's a cluster of tailors near the Bang La On canal and Nang Thong Beach, along with plenty of local shops, restaurants, and hotels.
Some of the top-rated tailors on Petchkasem Road include Khaolak Mark One Tailor, Mr Tailor Khao Lak and The Best Tailor, which stays open until way past sunset. Within walking distance of these tailors are the beach and restaurants such as Peterpan and The Eighth Room Café.

At the Biang Niang Market, you can browse local goods such as clothes, beachwear, handicrafts and souvenirs displayed across hundreds of stalls. This popular market also has an excellent street food section, where you can fill up on seafood and meat skewers plus a range of Thai delicacies until 10 pm.
While you’re here, we recommend checking out the produce section to see fruits and veggies that are native to Thailand. You’ll find the Bang Niang Market on Petchkasem Road, across the street from the International Tsunami Museum.

At this market-like mall, you can buy clothing, beachwear, electronic devices, toys, cosmetics and much more, and you’re likely to appreciate the great value price tags.
In front of T.T. Plaza, you can order food from the street food vendors that rustle up delicious treats in minutes. The mall is located within walking distance of Nang Thong Beach and its surrounding hotels. It stays open until 9 pm, though many stores may close their doors at around 8 pm.

The Build Market is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. On the days it closes, you can visit the Bang Niang Market just down the road. This top shopping destination welcomes guests from 1 pm, but it’s worth visiting in the evening to soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
