I was looking for a reasonable place to stay in Dayton, WA. Blue Mountain Hotel was centrally located and within my budget. The staff was friendly and helpful.
My room was small and basic. Starting with the bathroom, here are my observations: the room is tiny, there is no fan and the window must remain open while showering, the toilet sits very low, there is no counter space around the sink only a small shelf, there is no bathtub only a shower, an average size woman can not bend or move in the shower without touching a wall, there was plenty of hot water and the handheld shower head was nice, the bathroom door sticks and is difficult to open, the bathroom door should not be left open because the main room window looks directly into the bathroom.
Regarding the main living area, my observations are: There is a microwave and refrigerator--I didn't use the microwave, but the refrigerator worked fine; a desk and two chairs are provided with a mirror above the desk-one of the two chairs was so stained that I wouldn't use it for any purpose; the floor was covered in a brown carpet. It appeared to be clean, but there were stains in front of the main door and the bathroom from wear; the curtain on the single window didn't close fully, which made it uncomfortable for a single female in a ground floor room; the bed was tolerably soft; the sheets and bedding was clean; the brass headboard was anchored to the wall; there was no closet only a pole with hangers above the nightstand
