When we arrived to check in, the receptionist (who I believe was the owner) was incredibly rude. She didn’t greet us—her first words were simply “ID.” I initially thought she might be having a bad day, but her attitude didn’t improve. She then informed us that we needed to pay $10 per night for parking, which wasn’t clearly disclosed when I booked the room through Hotels.com. The parking fees are only visible on the hotel’s website.
On top of the rude service, we were told that, despite paying for parking, we were still responsible for the safety of our vehicle.
When we finally made it to our room, it was dirty. There were crumbs by the TV, an old chocolate milk and socks left behind by the previous guests, and the sheets had stains. There were spots of what it looks like blood on one corner and yellow stains elsewhere. The room was also missing an iron/ironing board, and there was only one trash bin for the entire room, with none in the bathroom.
