I rented a budget bungalow and it was well worth the money. Ive rented similar bungalows at other places on the island which were nowhere near as good. It was spotless and had a mosquito net (first time ive had one), which is good for pansies that are scared of mossies. There were no cockroaches or huntsman spiders involved either, which is a real bonus.
The only point that other people may have a problem with is the bed is quite "firm", shall we say. I like a hard mattress, so I'm ok with that, but there are plenty others who will probably moan that their bed shouldve been more softer for the 400 Baht a night price (very cheap).
Yes, there are people who will always whinge, and theyre usually from the same countries.....we all know who you are.
Not sure if the restaurant is part of the same establishment, but it was a bit of work trying to order something (nobody seems to be in any real hurry to even acknowledge you are there), and the food wasnt as good as ive had in other places.
I would definitely stay there again but maybe eat somewhere else. There are loads of fantastic restaurants not that far away from there. I suppose the competitions stiff and ive only tried the place once, so dont write them off on my review alone. This is the only reason that I havent given them full marks for everything.
Its also in a lovely part of Koh Tao.
