The room was tired and in need of some love and attention. On arrival, there was a sheet on the bed to catch debris falling from sizeable gaps in the ceiling whilst the roof was being replaced. Morning time revealed daylight through the gap. Despite the radiator pumping out decent heat when close up, it was ineffective for the room and I spent the night completely freezing and consequently took me some time to dare to get out of the covers in the morning. The bathroom was most uninviting and was even colder than the room - no radiator in here. Should have worn socks to cross the floor. The electric shower made plenty of noise but was also ineffective. The bedroom only had 2x double sockets, three of which were in use by the TV, Freeview box and bedside table lamp (the table almost fell apart when moving). Unplug TV to use kettle. If you have numerous devices to charge then forget it unless you unplug everything else. Lighting was either too bright for relaxing if leaving the main light on, or too dim with the only other light in the room (table lamp). Bed was very wobbly and the metal squeeled with every turn. There was *zero* phone signal via o2 and the wifi in the rooms didn't work, so other than the TV (which mercifully worked fine) there was not much to do. Little soundproofing to the room but it is a pub so accepted this was likely before booking. Offered my feedback after not being asked if everything was okay. Overall, disappointing and one I'll avoid in future.
