The location is good. 5 or 6 minute walk from the train station, still calm thanks to the building a little set back from the street. Staff is OK, not bad. But these two points never cover up for the rest.
There is no elevator, so you have to go up and down with your baggage for yourself. The hallway is narrow and a little creaky.
I spent several nights in standard double room, which was very modest in size. The floor carpet was worn. The bedspread and the cushions were not very clean, so I tried not to touch them as much as possible during my stay. There was no refrigerator in my room, which made me really disappointed. They say standard rooms are not equipped with it. If so, that apparently differs from the description found in the internet site!! No problem with a toilet. They have bathroom paper and water runs well at least. The worst is the extremely tiny shower stall, which hardly allows one to turn around. In using the shower I always paid much attention not to splash about water by stepping the hems of the long shower curtain. It needs a bit tech indeed. I was really happy and relieved when I left the hotel. I would like to visit the city of Nice again, but never to
stay at this hotel. One more to note, there is no tissue box.
