In our room we found multiple items left behind from previous people. There was a men’s blue watch in the tissue box, a tube of kids toothpaste on the windowsill behind the curtain, a cigarette butt on the floor next to the bed, and in the drawer next to the bed there was a (used) pregnancy test, a lightbulb, and some other random trash. The nonsmoking room smell terribly of smoke residue, so I went to get a staff member to verify this as I didn’t want to get charged for it as we aren’t smokers. There was a piece of wood in the window that I was advised was there to “secure the window” as a safety measure.. huh?!? We were on the first floor, and while our booking somehow said a smoking room I was told when we checked in, I stated that was incorrect as it should have been a nonsmoking room. The room condition may have been due to the last minute change. However rooms should never be used in that condition. Luckily the sheets were clean and the bed didn’t kill my back so it was manageable.
Aside from the issue if you need an inexpensive room this works just fine, it gets you what you pay for.
