This is unfair on the property owners to a large degree, but nearly everything about this stay away was close to a disaster.
Firstly prior to departing for the stay, booking through Wotif became a nightmare when they took extra money from my account without approval. It then took close to 40 minutes to go through their process to demand a refund and have to rebook this accommodation. Their 'customer service' team may need to be redefined as something other than Customer Service
The unit itself is nice and fit my purpose.
By far though the biggest complaint i had was i got zero sleep as the group in the until next door have an stairwell access landing and platform to that apartment on the 2nd floor, which is right outside the units bedroom.
There was a large group of (i'd guess 5 or 6) younger persons & they elected to have some youthful energetic discussions and smokes on the landing until well past 2am. Not only that, but I can now tell you which semi's that stop at the traffic lights on the Princes Highway outside the units were syncro-auto's and which were old school manuals throughout the night, cos the noise just traveled inside this unit as well from traffic on the road.
It was such a bad nights sleep i actually drove back to Melbourne early the next morning instead of head inland to Ballarat as planned.
Would I stay here again knowing the risks? Not a hope. That's probably unfair, but so was wasting 2 days of my annual leave and my dollars on this experience.
