Before I say what I mean, I’d like to preface this with the fact that the staff was very kind here, and they deserve better. This location was booked for one weeknight as we needed to be close to downtown Boston early and rested. Rested, we were not. This place had random people hanging out everywhere and moving from room to adjacent open room, like some sort of free for all hangout. The residents propped open the back patio door, so anyone could enter and leave as they pleased, which is so beyond unsafe. Then, the music and children, which both blared until almost five in thei morning. ALL NIGHT LONG. Thumping bass and screaming children, both presumably completely unattended while their parents were partying and/or asleep somehow. The front desk was apologetic, but really, what’s one person going to do when the inmates are running the asylum? It was dangerous, unhinged and completely unacceptable—we couldn’t leave in the middle of the night, but we sure didn’t sleep here. The building should be condemned and removed, honestly. Oh, and the hallways sprayed a mixture of cigar and body odor cologne constantly via motion detection devices. It was hands down the worst experience in the middle of a very hard week.
