I was bumped to a hotel 20 miles away from downtown Minneapolis. I booked this hotel so we could walk to Target Center.
Ending up with $100 in Uber/Lyft charges.
I was very disappointed when I booked the room July 5th.

We were not able to check in to our room until almost 8pm. The only reason given was there were a lot of turn around of rooms that day. We were not given any comps or upgrades to our stay. Didn’t even offer to take care of the parking cost.

Room was a disappointment
The room was ok. Side tables were dusty. Something was splattered all over the bathroom ceiling. Not a fan of the scent of the shampoo, conditioner or body wash. Only 2 large towels in the bathroom with a 3 night/4 day stay booked. Comforter/ blanket on the bed was ripped. Booking a suite, we felt there should have been a microwave in the room.

BEWARE if parking in the attached parking garage! The one plastered with all the signs that say “Marriott Parking.” Apparently they aren’t affiliated with the garage. I was told tonight by the manager that their contract ended 4 months ago. I guess that is not enough time for the garage OR the Marriott to take down all of the signs saying “Marriott Parking.” I guess it also isn’t enough time for the Marriott to train their front desk staff on the fact that they should no longer instruct guests to park there anymore since the contract for the affiliation no longer exists. I can’t help but feel like it's a flat out lie. If your affiliation with another business ended FOUR MONTHS ago, then either party would have ensured by now that all signs advertising the affiliation would be taken down.
I have been grossly overcharged multiple times during our stay for parking in the attached garage. The Marriott manager wants no part of helping me, accepts no responsibility for me being told to park there, and offered absolutely no assistance in helping me contact the garage or secure a refund for the overcharges.
Having stayed at many Marriotts in my travels, I have never received such poor customer service or felt like I was being lied to or brushed off.
