The Graduate Minneapolis is a very warm, welcoming and unique hotel. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL; friendly, responsive, and focused on providing the best guest experience possible.
The atmosphere in the hotel, from its decor to the academic pursuits of those MSU students who gather in the gorgeous lobby/study hall is elegantly relaxing. I felt i was given a wonderful moment to share in the collegial experience again with the young leaders of tommorow.
Far from being a noisy "student hangout", this was respectful, unobtrusive, even inspiring scholarly dedication on display. All in a fantasticly well done aesthetic.
The room was the same cozy, quircky-chic curated style. VERY clean and comfortable.
Quiet, homey and beautiful.
The campus, on the door step, is gorgeous, and very walkable. Lovely shaded lawns and interesting architecture. The surrounding area is safe, and there are many excellent eaterys and shops all available in a few block radious.
Just a few niggles:
There is no coffee in the morning until the Starbucks attached to the lobby opens at 6am. The packets of coffee in the rooms are essentially undrinkable, and better left alone. Maybe just me.
There are no buisiness channels available on the tv. A must have in a hotel for buisiness travelers. Really should remedy that situation.
This was one of my best hotel stays in years, and I could not praise it more highly.
"We are all students" as their slogan says, both literally and metaphorically.
Wonderful
