Maze Backpackers was an okay stay. I visited during winter, so it was fairly quiet and there wasn’t much of a social atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the door locks didn’t work properly, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was a decent stay, and I’d imagine it’s much livelier during the busier seasons.

The shower rooms need a place to hook the clothes up and also, the water is not flowing freely and a pool gets created which is very inconvenient. This was the issue last year and still we see it . The checkout process is strict and needs some relaxation at times ( with some exceptions). Otherwise, this is a good place to stay and i would love to go back if i am visiting the GC again.

I stayed here last year and was impressed with the property, amenities and free dinner that was included. This time, I found the hostel a lot dirtier than before. The hostel has a well appointed kitchen. Bed was comfortable, but I'm pretty sure despite getting clean upper and lower sheets, the cover was not clean. Hotels.com sold me the same offer dinner nightly being included in the price. Unfortunately when I checked in the receptionist told me that this was nolonger offered. I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice place to stay and staff were great. Checked in at 9 PM and was smooth. the rooms were kept clean and every bed has a light so that you wont disturb your roommates. Kitchen and other amenities are good. Bathrooms needs a bit of work as the water gets stagnated. This can cause a bit of inconvenience. Overall great place to stay and i would love to go back next time here.

The Maze was one of the best hostels i've ever stayed at. My roommates for super nice, the room was spotless. There is an excellent restaurant downstairs. Two block walk to the beach. Three blocks to the bus stop and easy transport to the airport. I wasn't crazy about the unisex showers, but it was workable. Would definitely stay there again!

1. Nobody ever mentioned, including order page, emails from expedia, etc. that passport is required for check-in. Passport is a MUST! 2. People chatting and flirting during midnight till 2AM, loud and noisy.
