Lovely hotel near Cambridge station
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great food and great location. Room service was a slightly lapse for a four star hotel (teabags not replaced, used glass left untouched) but nothing major and would stay at this hotel again.

Standards are slipped and staff are unhelpful
I’ve been staying at this hotel for about seven or eight years and we use it regularly. This state was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced. It took about 40 minutes to get somebody to answer the phone for room service air-conditioning room wouldn’t work properly and I was absolutely freezing, and then when I arrived in the evening on the Saturday, my room card wouldn’t work. When arriving back to reception to ask them if they could resolve it I was told I would have to wait as there wasn’t enough staff after 15 minutes of waiting I asked again if somebody could help me and with a half the receptionist went and got somebody else for me.
The room I was staying in had a dripping sound from the room above that would randomly just tap tap tap on the ceiling all night on the first night I slept with earplugs to block out the sound.
On Friday upon taking 40 minutes to get in contact with room service they then sent a menu up to my room because there wasn’t one in there then once they bought me the menu after over an hour and a half of waiting I was told I couldn’t order room service anyway because they hadn’t asked me to charge a card to my room The guy who came to see me and I was still talking to him. He just walked off up the corridor. This is not the sort of thing I expect from what is meant to be a 4 to 5 star hotel I will not be staying here again, and I won’t be bringing my friends or telling anybody else to stay here anymore it’s gone seriously downhill .
