It is a pity that despite this hotel having several qualities, some unpleasant situations weighed negatively in our evaluation.
The strengths were:
- the extreme kindness and sympathy of Maria (I believe she is the owner of the hotel)
- the understanding and kindness of the employee who takes care of the SPA
- the hearty breakfast, which compared to other hotels we stayed at, was undoubtedly the best
- the comfort of the room, including the view from the balcony
- the great location and the availability of easy parking near the hotel entrance
However.... as I said at the beginning, a very unpleasant situation made our stay lose its shine.
What has happened:
My 11-year-old son and I did a tour of almost a month around Italy. We passed by numerous hotels, few with a swimming pool. My son was very anxious about the possibility of enjoying the pool at this hotel and I even canceled some tours in the city precisely to have more time for him to enjoy this benefit.
We arrived at the hotel around 4pm and were told that the pool closed at 7pm. Okay, a little disappointing but we would still have 3 hours to enjoy it. When we arrived at the SPA, we realized that children are not welcome. We were told not to make any noise and to get into the pool without big dives. Okay, kind of discouraging for a kid, but we understand the situation. When we put our foot in the pool, however, what was our disappointment when we felt extremely cold water! In an indoor pool!
