I am not a one of the usual complainers, who already downgrade a hotel, because the water valves are a bit difficult to close. However, I was really disappointed about the BSA.
When it was under construction, I was considering to buy two units there, but when I saw the workmanship, I refrained. This has proven to have been a good decision. Though the hotel is only 4 years old, you recognize wear everywhere. I don't know how it will perform in a strong earthquake.
The room was not clean - nobody cleaned corners and it made a bit filthy impression, underlined by a big cockroach that I hunted down - in the 39th floor.Beds were comfortable and bath was cleaned reasonably well. Many complained about elevators, but for me they worked fine. Though I did not use them during "rush hours."
Check-in and check-out are a p in the b. You have to make a substantial deposit of some 50 dollars in cash. When you check out, they send someone to your room to check if you left the china ware in the cupboards. That took 20 minutes.
For me this was my first and last stay there. I prefer the Malayan Plaza or the Linden Suites, but they did this time not have enough rooms for our group.
