Although many places are rated 5 star, this is really a true 5 star experience. This is the most friendly and welcoming guest house we have stayed in. The room was clean, decor of a high standard and the breakfast was truly outstanding. We will definitely be staying here again when in the area.

Best B&B in the area!

This is such a great place to stay. The owner makes you feel like you're visiting his family and does what he can to make you feel like a true guest to his house. I've never felt so welcome as I have staying here. The breakfasts are delicious, and there are many options to choose from, with many of the ingredients sourced locally. I have yet to have one I didn't like, and I've tried nearly all of them! The pub next door (unrelated to the B&B) has a local friendly atmosphere and provides higher quality pub food making it a nice option in the evenings.

A very comfortable Country House which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The facilities were excellent. The breakfast was delicious. Very friendly and welcoming. Good pub next door.

15 min. From Manchester Airport. Our room was quite small. Recently remodeled bath. Better breakfast than most places, e.g. eggs Benedict. Excellent pub next door. Country walks near by.

When I first saw the room on line I was concerned it might have been small, however, when I arrived although the pictures correctly represented the property it was actually perfectly sized. The character of the property is fabulous with all the indoor and outdoor space needed. The family hosts were very accomodating and the pub next door is handy. The short walks and long walks nearby are myriad. A lovely stay no doubt I'll be back.

The location, building and garden were wonderful - the most important things - could hardly be surpassed. Very quiet, but a pub next door, Dunham Massey with deer park and Bridgewater Canal nearby. I hope to get there again!
