観光地が近い・宿泊料金が安い
ホテルの入り口が分かりにくいのと、３階まで階段で荷物を運ばなければならないことを除けば、価格が非常に安く、カンポディフィオーリ、ナボーナ広場、パンティオン、トレヴィの泉、サンタンジェロ城、サンピエトロ大聖堂などの観光地に徒歩で行ける立地条件にあるので、宿泊料金を低めに設定したい方にはお勧めです。ホテルの室内は、ドライヤーや冷蔵庫、冷房も完備されていました。

A cozy place to return to.
Cozy, Rustic and very nice room, nice appartment styled hotel. No fancy restaurant, but in the center of Rome with everything in walking distance, including supermarkets and restaurents.

Below average- but lovely staff
Reception staff were truly lovely and helpful. The building itself is not in great condition. The walls in the room were so thin I could hear the couple next doors entire conversation word for word. The bed was comfy and clean. The bathroom had a sewage like smell and the sink was stuck with the plug in. By the time I knew this no one was available and I left before reception opened the next day. Over all, it’s a budget level hotel that could do with some investment in re painting and tiling through the entrance, and serious sound proofing efforts. Your truly wonderful reception staff deserve to work in a building they can be very proud of. The communication with them was 11/10. The stay it’s self I would give 4/10. For what I paid, it was not impressive. I don’t wish to be able to hear snoring through the walls. Improve or lower prices.

Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel. Remonté d'odeur d'égouts dans la sdb. On ne capte plus le téléphone dans la chambre et le wifi est quasi inaccessible. Pas de volet poir la fenetre donc lumière du jour et nuit éclairage orange... Le lit double est en faite 2 lit simple collé. Bref eviter cet hôtel

Good value for money
For the price and location this hotel was good value. It was basic and definitely needs some updating. Overall we would recommend if you're not looking for luxury, and need a central place to stay where you can walk to all the attractions, cafes and restaurants.

We had a very nice stay at Domus Ester. Some reviews were a little dogdy, wich I think is unfair. Its a simple hotel, reception open from 8 am to 21PM. Staff was nice. They store luggage. Checkin is possible out of hours for a fee. No breakfast available. But lots of cafes close by. The reception is now at ground floor, used to be on 2nd floor with the room. The staircase is old and rustic but not dirty. The rooms are very nice. Newly renovated, very clean, and with af beautifull original ceiling.The location of the hotel is really realy good. Nice and quiet street, within walkingdistance of everything. Conclusion: If you need af nice and clean room in a basic hotel, this is really good value for money. Hotels in Rome are generally expensive.

Super location
Super location, a really nice place to stay close to all the best in Rome. We had a room on the 3rd floor, but it was no problem to go up the stairs, fortunately the staircase was cool. The room was very small, with a small fridge. The bathroom was also small and no possibility to put shampoo etc. in the shower. The shower gave plenty of water when otherwise the water wasn't suddenly shut off ;) The staff were nice and helpful Only BIG problem is that there is a LOT of noise. You can hear the neighbor pulling out into the toilet, sounds very violent when the flush button is pressed. Likewise, when they bathe you can hear the water running. We used earplugs so we weren't that bothered by it. It should be possible for Domus Ester to soundproof the small wall facing the neighbour's bathroom. have a small video of the sound when the neighbor uses the toilet, unfortunately it is not possible to upload it here, then you can see/ hear if you can stand the "noise". MEN vi ville absolut gerne bo her igen :D

The staff was so friendly and willing to help with anything you need! The rooms were very clean however the bathrooms are extremely small so keep that in mind when booking. Other than that, it was an amazing stay!

While the rooms were nice the building itself was horrible. It needs major repairs to the stucco in the hallways, and had broken windows in the hallway. Also, the photos really don’t show that this is not a hotel but rather a bunch of guest rooms in a poorly maintained building. While the staff was nice, on the day we had to leave and left our luggage to go walk around, there was no one there with a key when we returned. The person who was there didn't have a key and we were stuck waiting. Thankfully, we didn’t miss our train.

The location near Campo dei Fiori was great as was check in. Be aware the apartment is on the 4th floor (3rd if you’re in Italy) with no elevator. Room was clean and tidy. No functioning kitchen, only a mini fridge. No view. Air conditioning was on the whole time but was barely sufficient. Thank goodness I brought a portable fan. The large jetted tub was non-functional as it had no faucets. On the whole, “adequate” BUT THE WIFI FAILED TO FUNCTION THE ENTIRE STAY despite the property manager’s attempts to fix. They did not offer to refund any of the cost unfortunately.
