It was a decent place to stay, but worn: frayed areas in the hallway closet, obvious drywall work done poorly in the room, lampshades falling apart, bulbs of different light temperature, wiring left hanging in the lobby where something was changed, light coming in through the room door because it maybe didn't fit quite right or wasn't hung properly.
There were no "wow" moments. Everything good was just good enough: beds were comfortable but squeaky, breakfast was enough but not fancy. The bathroom was not clean: there was something smeared on the wall. We let the front desk know twice (two consecutive days) before housekeeping addressed it. There was used gum left above the bath/shower stall, stains on the door.
However, I've stayed in worse places. Our family of 4 slept fine, we had breakfast every day, which was nice and included a waffle maker. The staff was responsive (except the cleaning issue) and friendly. And the price was right. I don't think I'd stay there again, but it met our needs.
