ザ ソーホテル (ニューヨーク)

妻と３人の子供と泊まりましたが、スタッフはフレンドリーで対応も丁寧でした。ロビーが２階にありエレベーターがありませんが、ポーターが１階入口に常駐していて荷物を運んでくれました。チェックイン前とチェックアウト後も快く荷物を預かってくれましたので、助かりました。チャイナタウンとリトルイタリーに非常に近く、便利なロケーションです。近隣のホテルと比べて宿泊費はかなりリーズナブルです。唯一気になった点は、大通りに面しており深夜でも屋外の音が聞こえて少しうるさく感じたところでしょうか。

My friend & I were staying at the Sohotel & during the first night of our stay around 2AM an intruder was breaking into our room through the window. It was a very horrifying experience that Sohotel did not take seriously! They were more worried about how he was able to get onto the roof & did not seem concerned that we could have been seriously injured or even worse. My friend went into "fight" mode & literally pushed him out the window so that he couldn't get inside. I guarantee Sohotel would be dealing with thousands of $$ in property damage had my friend not interfered & he broke through the window. The staff on duty that night were very helpful & called the NYPD & they offered to move us to a different room on the third floor. However, we never were asked to file a report and in hindsight, I really wish we would have. We spoke with the manager a day after the incident (we stayed there 3 nights) & their response was they were very sorry it happened & they were currently reviewing the footage. So, they didn't believe us even though the staff and NYPD saw the guy on the roof? My friend & I actually had to point out where he was hiding on the roof when the police arrived. We never received an update about this incident. Was he arrested? A guest? We asked to be compensated & the manager said she was working with upper management. Yet, when we received our bill, they only took care of the $58 service fee!!! Ridiculous! We should have received a full refund at the very least!!!!

Great location in a historic building with nice common space appointments. Room a bit tight with no real storage space but as a solo traveler it was ok. Housekeeping staff was awesome!

We only stayed one night so we didn't mind that the room was smaller than we expected. Plus we enjoying sitting in one of the lounges when we got home and we had some wine there before going up to our room.

Room is big, but shower water came very small and not enough water speed . The shower itself is very tiny.
