I travel a lot and often stay in the hotels in the UK for my job and this is definitely the worst experience. Television did not work as there was something wrong with the aerial. Water kept dripping in the bathroom, making very annoying noise all night. When checked-in, there was some water in the kettle. When someone from the reception was sent to fix the aerial (and she was unable to do anything about it), I asked about the water and she could not tell if the water was fresh. Next morning, the manager told me that the kettle was 'prepared' for the new customers, but if this is the case, hotels put a notice to guarantee that water is fresh to avoid confusion (as far as I have experienced in the UK). All in all, the room was not fit for the customers to stay and the hotel was not helpful at all.
