Enjoyed our stay
Enjoyed our stay here. Obviously the hotel is American in style, it did seem a little dated but the rooms were good, clean and with an excellent view. Check in was slow with a queue but staff were pleasant and helpful. The pool is lovely and we enjoyed relaxing there, the pool food service was excellent though the towel service was poor and unfriendly. Signposting and information in the hotel seems to be lacking, we had to ask for the Club lounge and hunt down various other areas, we could not find restaurant menus online and the concierge could not offer us any when we were trying to decide where to eat. I am happy to give this hotel full marks as it is good and we enjoyed our time here but I do feel that some aspects would benefit from attention.

DREAM Come TRUE
This stay was part of a dream destination for me. I finally traveled to Easter Island with my husband & son, on my 45th birthday. We stayed overnight at the Sheraton hotel both coming & going. It’s convenient to Jumbo Hypermarket, a short walk in fact, where a Chilean acquaintance recommended I buy my groceries to bring to the island. It all worked out perfectly, better than I imagined. The hotel it’s self is beautiful, staff are absolutely fantastic, the little Spanish we had helped but there was always somebody available who could speak English, which simplified getting answers to our questions, etc. . Hotel restaurant has an extensive menu with lots of plant-based options (we are vegan) clearly marked and affordable. Our rooms were luxurious with breathtaking views of Santiago. The pool / pool rooms are definitely vintage which I LOVE. The historical importance of this hotel to me is as the place where the sixteen survivors of the 1972 Andes plane crash (& insane survival story) reunited with their families following the December 22, 1972 rescue. I am fully obsessed with this story so being in this hotel I’ve read about in all their memoirs, was surreal for me, and on my birthday no less!!

Downtown Santiago
This large hotel is rather dated in style. It could be a large hotel anywhere in the USA of a standard bland design. We waited two hours to check in. On arrival in the room the safe didn't work nor did the refrigerator but it did have a lovely view, though once again we were allocated this room only after I insisted that this is what we had requested. In keeping with all hotels in this group it is incredibly difficult to contact the hotel. There is a telephone number on the website but as an international traveller it is far too expensive to make a phone call to a different continent. There is no email address for the front desk or the concierge if you want advice about trips, restaurants etc. If you contact Marriott Convoy our experience is that you don't get a response. However the staff are lovely and the restaurants serve tasty food. If you book a club room the view from the 21st floor room is fantastic. Food and drink offerings here more than enough.

Just stayed here for one night on a business trip. There was a large convention going on while I was there, so the hotel felt very busy and loud. I was disappointed by the room service (long wait times, sub-par food). But, the hotel had nice facilities, beautiful pool.

Overall this is a nice hotel and most staff were extremely friendly and willing to help. However, communication between reservations and front desk was lacking. I had to speak to a different person each day about checking out early and each person told me something different in terms of whether an early checkout was possible and what the early check out fee would be. I also had to wait in the check-in line for over 2 hours when I arrived in the morning because so many people were trying to drop off their bags before check-in for a conference. My room was available first thing in the morning since I had reserved the room for the night before, which I did intentionally so I could use my room to pump breastmilk in private upon arrival. They told me it wasn't possible to skip the line and the only space they could offer me for pumping was the bathroom. I ended up putting my pump on in the crowded lobby while I waited in line because I couldn't wait any longer to express milk. This was an incredibly uncomfortable situation, both physically and emotionally. I had to beg someone for a bottle of water so I could hydrate while pumping (they initially told me they had no water available). I was almost in tears when I finally got to the front desk, and just got a brief apology and nothing more. I will say they were very accommodating for storing my breastmilk in the kitchen freezer during my stay, which was a huge help.
