Rooms get really cold in the winter months, and the heating system is just not very well fit for heating the rooms properly. Pack extra clothes and pyjamas for the colder months, cause there is literally no way of properly heating the rooms. We were put in a cute little room on 47th floor at first - somewhat a room placed in the middle of the hallway, and the noise from the super fast elevators were literally so loud it was like sleeping right up against a pair of subway tracks. I tried getting through it first night, but I got literally no sleep with it being so cold and absurdly noisy. Went to kindly ask for another room with less noise as I needed to get up early everyday, and they very gracefully upgraded us to a cute corner room on 56th floor with even better view. I generally loved the stay, the hotel has a wonderful location and some beautiful views! With that said, the noise of the elevators and the cold was a little rough, and the rooms both showed a lot of signs of wear and tear. Almost none of the kitchen amenities were functional, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to rely on it. Staff was very kind and they checked us in hours early despite having warned there might be limited availability. It seemed the staff was very cold in the lobby area, would have loved to see more care for them. Nice little stay, but not super luxurious apart from a lovely view!
