If you have a lot of money, you can rent a villa near the lake, but if not, you’ll have a little room, with no heater, no coffee/tea, far away from the restaurant, pool. In fact, the resort is far away from everything.
The place is beautiful with trees, and nice view of the lake and sunsets from a large patio. The breakfasts were good, dinners were ok but expensive. Spa services were also expensive and if you wished to hire a car to go to town which is close by, you need a lot of cash also.
For some reasons, staff seem sad and not smiling much and this was strange because Myanmar people are usually happier. The people at the reception were very nice.
I don’t think we are the clientele for this kind of place. If you want to meet people from Myanmar, and feel a little bit more free to do stuff, a hotel in town would be more appropriate. Tours of the lake and of other places are organized in town also.
