Run by a charming young couple who want to make this work - they have done an excellent job of renovating a heritage building to meet the most modern standards. Breakfasts are substantial, and cooked to order, setting you up for the rest of the day. With an significant outdoor space, breakfasts can be eaten indoors or out; drinks (yours) can be had outdoors on a sunny patio. The hamlet of Cataract is worth a visit in itself, and forms a proper start to exploring the attractive local area - Alton, Orangeville, Fergus and Elora are nearby, with a Provincial Park, numerous golf courses and hiking trails. Three local restaurants provide very good meals within a ten-minute drive - the hosts know them well. All in all, a great four day stay, and we will recommend it to others
