The good: Beautiful property with amazing wood built into the rooms. Mostly friendly staff. Multiple options for dining. Safe and secure resort. Great private island!
The bad: There are an insane amount of mosquitoes especially near townhomes and snack huts. I know this is an island, but I LITERALLY got 5 new bites every time I entered or exited my room. They desperately need to spray.
The ugly: Rude and dismissive attitude from management. Michael W (Concierge manager) helped check my husband and I in and even helped show us to our room. Unfortunately our air conditioning was not working and showed a room temp of 30 degrees Celsius (86 F). My husband mentioned that it was hot, but Michael thought nothing of it, dropped our bags and left. We are very patient and decided to wait about 90mins to give the unit time to cool off the room, to no avail. We went to the front desk, where I saw Michael before he looked at me and then walked away. I caught up with him about how abnormally hot the room was, he stated I must not be familiar with the remote to work the air because it was likely just locked! I advised that I am quite familiar with the remotes /units and that was not the issue. He again stated that the remote must have accidentally been locked and I needed to notify the front desk staff.
After 3 attempts to correct the issue, my husband spoke with Dalton and another staff member who were amazing and helped to change our room to one where the air was working properly.
